About

Ben Goddard has been in education for around 15 years. In his career he has taken many roles, from head of department for a school in Shropshire, to Trust director in charge of Mathematics supporting and teaching in two secondary, two primary and a 6th form centre. He is currently an Assistant Principal for an academy in Stoke-On-Trent, where he leads community use of the academy site, which has seen an increase in income and usage over the last 4 years. Ben has led on projects such as the opening of a 2G hockey pitch linked to North Staffordshire Hockey club and England Hockey and a substantial bid to the Football Foundation to improve the quality of grassroots football in the local area alongside a local football club. I

In his current role, Ben oversees the academy timetable and options, and has worked across the country supporting other academies. He regularly marks for a range of levels and exam boards during the summer months, including SATs, GCSE Maths, Level 2 Further Maths, A level Maths and GCSE Statistics.

Ben is not new to school governance and is currently a parent governor at one of his children’s schools. When not busy with his children, Ben spends time travelling the country going to various air shows.
