Now retired, Sue has had a varied career including Post 16 Tutor, Prison Officer and Prison Chaplain in a couple of the toughest prisons in the Country. In 2017, Sue set up a support group for families bereaved by suicide, this led to her setting up a Bereavement Service and was a Bereavement Counsellor with Children and Young People in schools across Telford.
Sue is also a member of the PCC at Holy Trinity Church in Wrockwardine Wood.
Sue is new to school governance and excited to be part of a positive team that will move the Acadamy, and its students forward, creating new opportunities for them to achieve success, ensuring that teachers and students are supported pastorally, mental health issues are addresssed and the right support is available.
